The Traveller Primary Health & Social Care Project is all about breaking down barriers and ensuring that Travellers have access to the healthcare, education and support they need. By working alongside communities, we’re making real, positive change happen every day.
Cavan Traveller Primary Health Care provides the Traveller Community with information, support and advice on health and wellbeing. Our aim is to improve the health and social gain of the Traveller Community. Our Traveller Primary Health Care workers are at the heart of the community and strive to break down barriers between the Traveller community and health services. We provide advice on health and wellbeing, fitness, heart health, diabetes, cancer screening, mental health support, childhood development and vaccinations, medical card application/appointments support, health initiatives and coffee mornings. If it is just a listening ear, in confidence, we thrive to support those in need.
