Service Description
NCN is a voluntary organisation, established in1997 as Border Counties Childcare Network(BCCN). The Network provides a forum for a range of voluntary, private and statutory groups/agencies to work together to advance the development of quality early childhood, after school, childminding services and support for parents across the island of Ireland in the best interest of all children. Our work is informed by First Five a whole of government strategy to improve the lives of babies, toddlers and young children and the regulatory and practice frameworks of TUSLA, Síolta, Aístear, and the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Charter and Guidelines for Early Childhood Care Education.
NCN’s work is also informed by the five national outcomes of Better Futures Network for children and young people.
